Wizard of Paws is an "all inclusive" pet grooming salon.

At Wizard of Paws, we believe exceptional grooming should come with exceptional care, without a long list of unexpected add-on charges!

That's why we proudly operate as an ALL-INCLUSIVE pet grooming salon.

WHAT DOES ALL-INCLUSIVE MEAN?

Simply put, our standard grooming services include all the essential care your pet needs to look, feel, and smell their very best, without charging separately for each individual service.

We believe these services are an important part of maintaining your pet's overall hygiene, coat health, comfort, and well-being, not optional extras!

OUR ALL-INCLUSIVE SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Customized Bath & Conditioning – Professional-quality shampoos and conditioners carefully selected for your dog's individual coat type, skin condition, and specific needs.

  • External Anal Gland Expression – Performed when appropriate and needed.

  • Paw Pad Trimming – Removal of excess hair between and around the paw pads for cleanliness and comfort.

  • Sanitary Trimming – Keeping sensitive areas clean, neat, and hygienic.

  • Nail Trimming – An essential part of maintaining proper paw health and comfort.

  • Ear Cleaning & Plucking – Appropriate ear care based on your dog's individual needs, provided the ears are free from infection or other concerns.

  • Complete Brush Out or 3-Step De-Shedding Process – Professional coat maintenance tailored to your dog's coat type to remove loose hair, reduce shedding, and promote a healthy coat.

  • Customized Haircut – A professional haircut tailored to your dog's breed, coat condition, and desired style with our Full Grooming service.

  • Finishing Touches – An adorable bandana or bows and a finishing spritz of cologne to complete that freshly groomed look!

ARE THERE EVER ADDITIONAL FEES?

Excessive matting and the presence of fleas or ticks may result in additional charges. These conditions require extra attention and are not considered part of standard grooming maintenance.

Our grooming prices may also vary based on your pet's breed, size, coat condition, temperament, and individual grooming needs.

Full Groom Services
By Appointment Only

Our Full Grooming services include everything offered in our ALL-INCLUSIVE grooming package, plus a personalized, professional haircut designed to enhance your pet's unique personality, natural beauty, and individual coat characteristics.

At Wizard of Paws, we understand that no two dogs are alike! Every breed, coat type, and personality requires a different approach. Our experienced grooming professionals take pride in creating beautiful, customized styles that complement your dog's appearance while keeping their comfort, safety, and coat health our top priorities.

Our trained staff will take the time to discuss your grooming expectations, desired haircut, and your pet's individual needs. We'll help you choose a style that not only looks fantastic but is also practical for your pet's coat type, lifestyle, and your ability to maintain it at home.

We'll also provide professional at-home grooming tips, including brushing techniques, proper tools, and recommended grooming schedules to help keep your pet looking and feeling their best between appointments.

Brush Out and Bath

Our Brush Out & Bath services include all the benefits of our ALL-INCLUSIVE grooming package, with the exception of a full body haircut.

This service is designed for dogs who don't require a complete haircut but still need professional coat maintenance to keep them looking, feeling, and smelling their very best!

Often referred to as a "Face, Feet & Fanny," this service focuses on maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-groomed appearance between full grooming appointments.

Our Brush Out & Bath service includes a thorough bath using professional products selected for your dog's individual skin and coat needs, conditioning, blow-drying, brushing, combing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and light trimming of the face, feet, and sanitary areas as needed.

Regular maintenance is essential to a healthy coat! This service helps remove loose hair, minimize tangles, maintain cleanliness, and keep your dog comfortable between full haircuts.

At Wizard of Paws, even without a full body haircut, your dog still receives the same professional attention to detail, individualized care, and quality service we're known for!

At Wizard of Paws, we understand that maintaining your dog's nails is an essential part of their overall health and well-being. That's why we proudly offer convenient WALK-IN NAIL TRIMMING SERVICES during our regular business hours, making it easy to keep those paws in tip-top shape without scheduling a full grooming appointment!

WHY IS REGULAR NAIL TRIMMING SO IMPORTANT?

Proper nail maintenance is about much more than appearance. Your dog's nails play an important role in their posture, balance, mobility, and overall comfort.

When nails become too long, they can interfere with the natural placement of your dog's feet, causing unnecessary pressure on their toes, joints, and skeletal structure.

Overgrown nails can contribute to several health concerns, including:

  • Improper Foot Placement & Posture – Long nails can alter how your dog stands and walks, placing additional stress on their feet and joints.

  • Joint Discomfort – Changes in weight distribution and movement can contribute to discomfort, particularly in senior dogs or those already experiencing arthritis.

  • Painful Nail Injuries – Excessively long nails are more likely to snag, split, or break, potentially causing pain and infection.

  • Ingrown Nails – Severely overgrown nails can curl around and grow into the paw pads, creating painful wounds and possible infections.

  • Reduced Comfort & Mobility – Neglected nails can make everyday activities like walking, running, and playing uncomfortable.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOUR DOG'S NAILS BE TRIMMED?

As a general guideline, we recommend nail trimming approximately every 4–6 weeks, although some dogs benefit from more frequent maintenance.

Your dog's activity level, age, nail growth rate, and the surfaces they regularly walk on all influence how quickly their nails grow and wear down.

For dogs with excessively long nails or overgrown quicks, a more frequent trimming schedule may be recommended to gradually encourage healthier nail length.

"Maintenance Program"
Scheduled Pre-Booked Only

The "Maintenance Program" is for clients who bring their pet in for grooming on a  pre booked 4-8 week grooming schedule.

How does the "Maintenance Program" work?

​

Pets will be scheduled for the "all inclusive" service which includes everything except body hair trimmed.  This includes it all!

How does the "Maintenance Program" benefit the pet?

​

Wizard of Paws professionals will help maintain the proper hair coat and skin to ensure a healthy pet.  Pets will have the benefit of having their nails trimmed, ears cleaned and a clean sanitary area on the "Maintenance Program".  All pets receiving this service will be brushed free of mats and dramatically shed out to reduce the dreaded excess hair floating around the house.   The best feature of the "Maintenance Program" is how wonderful your pet will smell after the bath and how luxurious the pets coat will feel.

At Wizard of Paws, we understand that excessive shedding can feel like a never-ending battle! That's why we offer our professional 3-Step De-Shedding Process, designed to remove accumulated dead hair, promote a healthier coat, and significantly reduce the amount of loose hair around your home.

HOW DOES OUR 3-STEP PROCESS WORK?

STEP 1: DEEP CLEANSING & CONDITIONING

We begin with professional shampoos and conditioners selected for your dog's individual skin and coat needs. Our specialized hydro-rinsing system helps loosen and flush away dead undercoat while thoroughly cleansing and conditioning.

STEP 2: HIGH-VELOCITY DRYING

This is where the magic happens! Our professional high-velocity dryers use controlled airflow to separate the coat and release large amounts of loose, dead hair without unnecessarily damaging the healthy guard hairs.

STEP 3: PROFESSIONAL BRUSH OUT

We finish with a thorough, nose-to-tail brush out using tools specifically selected for your dog's coat type and condition, removing remaining loose hair and leaving the coat beautifully maintained, healthy, and fluffy!

 

IS PROFESSIONAL DE-SHEDDING WORTH IT?  ABSOLUTELY!

 

Regular de-shedding helps reduce loose hair around your home, prevent impacted undercoat, minimize tangles, improve coat manageability, and support your dog's overall skin and coat health.

CAN WE STOP SHEDDING COMPLETELY? NO!

​

Shedding is a natural part of your dog's hair growth cycle. While we cannot eliminate it, professional de-shedding can SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE the amount of loose hair your dog carries and leaves behind. Results vary by breed, coat type, season, and maintenance.

Our experienced grooming professionals understand that every coat is unique and use specialized techniques to achieve excellent results while protecting its natural integrity.

At Wizard of Paws, we can't promise a hair-free home, but we CAN help you spend less time vacuuming and more time loving your dog!

Services Not Offered

Teeth Brushing

Brushing and cleaning teeth needs to be done by or under veterinary supervision.

Internal Anal Gland Expressing

Internal Anal gland expression needs to be preformed by trained veterinary professional.  Wizard of Paws will do external expression only upon request.

Clean, pluck or treat infected ears

Ears that appear to have infection or irritation need to be treated by a veterinary professional

Treat or diagnose skin health issues

Wizard of Paws will follow directions from a Veterinarian professional for skin health issues.  We will use any medicated shampoos, creams or other prescribed medications on your pets as directed

Sedate, administer or be responsible for sedated pets

We are not medically trained and therefore, we do not take any responsibility for sedating or care of a sedated pet. 

 No Exceptions

Aggressive Pets

We will not groom pets that are aggressive.  No aggression towards staff, kids, or others pets allowed.  We all need to be safe.

Unvaccinated Pets

All pets must be current on all vaccinations for our safety, your pets, and other pets in the salon.  We require rabies, core vaccination and kennel cough to be current and have been vaccinated for at least 48 hours.  Proof of veterinary administration by physical copy or emailed copy required.  No exceptions.

We will not shave/trim a double coated dog. 

At Wizard of Paws, we believe understanding your dog's coat is just as important as knowing how to groom it!

Double-coated breeds such as Pomeranians, Huskies, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Australian Shepherds have specialized coats that provide natural insulation and protection from the elements.

Shaving these breeds does NOT automatically make them cooler! In fact, removing their protective coat can expose sensitive skin to sunburn and potentially cause coat-regrowth problems.

WHAT ABOUT ALL THAT SHEDDING?

What looks like matting may actually be heavily impacted undercoat that needs professional attention.

Our specialized 3-Step De-Shedding Process uses professional bathing, conditioning, high-velocity drying, and thorough brushing to remove excessive dead hair while preserving the healthy coat.

It takes knowledge, patience, and skill, but protecting your dog's coat is worth the extra effort!

WHAT IS POST-CLIPPING ALOPECIA OR "COAT FUNK"?

Post-clipping alopecia is delayed, uneven, or incomplete hair regrowth following shaving or clipping.

Some dogs, particularly Pomeranians and other plush-coated breeds, may experience patchy hair loss, changes in coat texture, or regrowth that takes months.

THE CONCERN? IT'S UNPREDICTABLE! A dog may have been shaved previously without complications, but that doesn't guarantee the same results every time.

WHY WE DON'T ROUTINELY SHAVE DOUBLE-COATED BREEDS

At Wizard of Paws, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond a beautiful haircut.

We do not perform routine cosmetic shave-downs on double-coated breeds. Exceptions may be necessary for severe matting, medical conditions, or your pet's comfort and well-being.

HUMANITY OVER VANITY WILL ALWAYS COME FIRST!

Our professionally trained staff understands that every coat requires an individualized approach. We prioritize proper coat maintenance, professional de-shedding, and preserving the natural integrity of your dog's coat.

A GREAT GROOM ISN'T ALWAYS ABOUT WHAT WE REMOVE. SOMETIMES IT'S ABOUT WHAT WE KNOW TO PRESERVE.
